Virtual Training Expectations

  • For Virtual Trainings participants are required to be visible on camera/video and to use a laptop or computer. This is an MSDE requirement. (Cell phones are not acceptable because they do provide access to all of the participation features required for interactive participation. Tablets are acceptable.)  Participants are also expected to participate in the chat box and breakout room activities during the training. Virtual Training will be held on Zoom and registration through Zoom will be required.

  • Participants will receive handouts and materials for the training via email prior to the training, and are expected to print the materials and to have them in hand for the actual training.

Certificates

  • Certificates will be awarded upon completion of training and grading of assessments (within 5 business days of the training). All participants must achieve a 70% or higher on the assessments. Anyone receiving lower than a 70% will receive coaching from the trainer and have the option to retake the assessment. The type of assessment used will be based on the training taught.

  • Certificates awarded are the sole responsibility of the individual attending the training and are to be kept by the individual for licensing and credentialing purposes. Keys for Growth is not responsible for lost or misplaced certificates.  To request and receive a duplicate copy of a certificate, Keys for Growth reserves the right to assess a $5 fee. Certificates will be reissued via email for up to one year from the date of the training. Limit of one reissued certificate per person per training.  In order to receive a reissued certificate, participants must have the following information:

  • The date of the original training.

  • The title of the training.

  • The name of the program or organization that organized or sponsored the training.

  • The participant’s name as it appears on the sign-in sheet.

  • For all Zero to Three trainings, registration and payment is required at least one week prior to start of training.

  • A $25 fee will be assessed for all returned checks.

  • You will not receive a certificate until payment has been received.

  • No confirmation or reminder of registration will be mailed to you.  Contact Keys for Growth to confirm that your registration has been received.

  • Class registration fees are non-refundable.  If you miss a training for which you are registered, a credit to another training will be given if Keys for Growth is notified 24 hours or more prior to the training.  Leaving a phone message or sending an email constitutes notice.  No credits or refunds are issued for late cancellations or absences.

  • If a credit is issued, it is good for one (1) year from date of issue.

  • Training may be cancelled due to low enrollment; participants may transfer and reschedule to another training.  Keys for Growth has the right to cancel and/or reschedule any training due to personal, professional, or weather-related conditions (See Inclement Weather Policy).  Registration fees will be refunded at the discretion of Keys for Growth and/or applied to future training trainings.  Participants will be contacted by the email provided on the registration form if the training is cancelled.

  • If the training is full, the participant will be notified and added to the waiting list.

  • There are no walk-in registrations.

Training Arrival

  • Trainings begin promptly at the times listed.  Sign in 10-15 minutes prior to start of the training.

  • All participants are required to sign-in to the training in order to receive their certificates; if their name is not on the sign-in sheet they are not eligible to receive a certificate.

  • Participants must arrive to the trainings promptly; anyone arriving more than 15 minutes after the training has started will not be able to receive full credit and a certificate for the training.

Training Participants Expectations

Inclement Weather

If public schools close in the county where the training is offered, the training will be cancelled.  Participants are to check the local television and radio stations for possible cancellations due to bad weather.  If training is canceled due to bad weather, it will be rescheduled at a later date.  Registration fees will not be refunded.  Fees will be credited to a future training.
